Why soil health and why now?
Who is it for?
The conference aims at researchers, entrepreneurs, land owners and European stakeholders. We are bringing together multiple European and global initiatives to discuss methods and technology for Soil Health. See the final report of the Health Now 2025 event.
What to expect in the programme?
This event seeks to create a space for exchanging ideas on soil monitoring, science, technology, and business intelligence for measuring, monitoring, and increasing soil health. The event will feature collaborations with key stakeholders; presentations of AI4SoilHealth and other Soil Mission project outputs, pilot sites, soil instruments demos, and panel discussions with farmers and agricultural experts that will encourage a collaboration among parties.
How much are the registrations fees and what do they include?
The basic registrations fees for early bird registrations will be about 180 EUR for PhD students and 320 EUR for full-time in-person participants (these do not include the costs of accommodation). Final numbers will be confirmed in early June. The regular registration fees (after 15th of July 2026) will be 520 EUR. The late registration fees will be 640 EUR. Virtual participation is also possible at a symbolic price of 120 EUR. Registration fees cover the use of facilities, video-recordings, coffee breaks, lunches and social events. These do NOT cover accommodation, breakfasts and/or local transportation costs. This is a not-for-profit event and all fees are based on cost-recovery. Attending the event without registering in advance is NOT possible. The event is sponsored by the Horizon Europe projects.
Which kind of stakeholders, participants will attend the “Soil Health Now”?
The conference is designed for a diverse group of participants, including: Project Partners from the AI4SoilHealth and Soil Health Benchmarks projects; Soil Health Experts: Researchers and scientists specializing in soil health; EU Agencies and Programs: Representatives from the Joint Research Centre (JRC), the European Environment Agency (EEA), and other relevant EU bodies; Institutions: Universities and research institutions engaged in soil health studies; Farmer Associations: Groups representing farmers, including both established and young farmers; Industry Members: Companies involved in agricultural technology and business intelligence related to soil health; Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs): Organizations focused on environmental sustainability and soil health.

How to reach KEDEA?
Thessaloniki is easily accessible via Thessaloniki International Airport (SKG), which offers direct flights from many major European cities. From the airport, the city centre can be reached in approximately 30 minutes by taxi or 40 minutes by public bus (Line 01X/01N). The KEDEA Conference Center, located within the campus of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, is situated in the city centre and can be easily reached on foot, by taxi, or via several local bus lines.
